Samsung ace Won Tae-in has been selected as the winner of the 2024 KBO League Fair Play Award.
KBO said on the 11th, "We held a reward and punishment committee on the 4th of last month and selected Won Tae-in as the winner of the 2024 Fair Play Award."
The Fair Play Award is awarded to players who have contributed to improving the image of the KBO League by setting an example for others with serious game attitudes and decision acceptance based on the spirit of sports in the KBO regular season.
The Fair Play Award was established in 2001, and Won Tae-in was the fifth Samsung player to receive the award after Kim Han-soo in 2002, Kang Bong-gyu in 2009, Park Seok-min in 2012 and Cha Woo-chan in 2015.
Won Tae-in will receive the Fair Play Award at the KBO Golden Glove Awards on the 13th.
