Amid a series of declarations of state of affairs condemning emergency martial law across the country, civic groups held press conferences calling for President Yoon's resignation and major social reform.

More than 1,500 civic groups, including the People's Solidarity for Participatory Democracy, held a press conference today (11th) and announced that Yoon Seok-yeol would immediately retreat and launch an emergency action for social reform.

They criticized that President Yoon's declaration of emergency martial law and civil war undermined the constitution and greatly destroyed the basic rights of the people, and that those who could threaten the existence of the country should step down as soon as possible.

At the same time, he argued that the collapsed democracy should be corrected by punishing those who sympathized with the civil war and reforming Korean society significantly.

They plan to hold rallies and marches to impeach President Yoon Suk Yeol every day starting today (11th), and hold a candlelight rally in front of the National Assembly at 3 p.m. on the 14th.
