Seventeen cartoon associations and organizations, including the Korean Cartoon Association, the Webtoon Association, and the Korea Cartoonists Association, and 566 cartoonists issued a Declaration on the Situation of Cartoonists today, urging them to "impeach the Yoon Suk Yeol, suspend his presidential duties, immediately arrest him, and thoroughly investigate."
They said, "The democracy and people's survival of the Republic of Korea are in serious danger," and pointed out, "The constitutional order of the Republic of Korea and the safety of the people cannot be restored unless a thorough investigation and strong law enforcement are carried out."
Senior cartoonists Lee Hyun-se, Kim Hyung-bae, Kim Dong-hwa and Park Su-dong, as well as cartoonists Hwang Mi-na, Yoon Tae-ho, Won Soo-yeon, webtoon writers Kang Pul, Ha Il-kwon, Cheon Gye-young, academics, critics, and industry figures participated in the statement.
