Russia is likely to launch a new hypersonic ballistic missile "Oresynik" again toward Ukraine in the coming days, U.S. government officials say.

The Associated Press reported that officials believe Oresinik is an attempt to intimidate Ukraine rather than a decisive weapon to change the tide.

On the 21st of last month, Russia launched an Oresynik missile, which means "dog rock tree," into Ukraine's fourth-largest city of Dnipro.

The missile, which can be equipped with a nuclear warhead if modified, was evaluated as a re-entry into the target setting of multiple warheads that can have the effect of firing multiple shots with one missile.
