The Joint Forum of Students' Associations, which gathered student councils from nine universities, including Korea University and Yonsei University, criticized President Yoon's declaration of emergency martial law in the declaration of the current situation, saying there was no legal basis.
The president's statement, which followed the lifting of martial law, also added that he saw no real apology or responsibility, and that even college students and young people had reaped all confidence and expectations for the president.
He also said that those who agreed with the president and martial law should be removed as soon as possible and strictly punished, signaling a rally tomorrow (13th) in Sinchon, Seoul, calling for the president to step down.
