Police investigating allegations that Naver's sports broadcasting-related management data was leaked to its competitor Coupang Play have launched a forced investigation.

The Gyeonggi Southern Police Agency's Industrial Technology and Security Investigation Unit conducted a search and seizure yesterday (11th) on a Coupang Play employee accused of violating the Unfair Competition Prevention Act.

The police have been investigating after receiving a complaint that A, who worked for Naver in the past, recently transferred to Coupang Play and stole Naver's trade secrets to Coupang.

Coupang Play claimed that the allegations were about the personal allegations of certain employees and had nothing to do with the company.
