South Chungcheong Province Governor Kim Tae-heum said all lawmakers should participate in the impeachment vote of President Yoon Suk Yeol and go through the impeachment process.

Governor Kim said on social media that he opposed impeachment and wanted an orderly resignation and a stable settlement of state affairs, but explained that the impeachment process is necessary, saying that President Yoon is irresponsibly preparing legal responses and lawyers for impeachment.

He then told President Yoon to apologize to the people and to clarify the reason and position of declaring martial law.

He added that Han Dong-hoon and the party leadership should step down immediately, taking political and moral responsibilities.
