The Supreme Court today (12th) confirmed the original ruling that sentenced former lawmaker Choi, who was handed over to trial on charges of violating the Public Official Election Act, to a fine of 800,000 won.
Former lawmaker Choi appeared on an Internet broadcast during the 2020 general election and was put on trial on charges of disclosing false information to the effect that CEO Cho's son actually participated in internship activities.
Earlier in the day, former lawmaker Choi lost his parliamentary seat after his prison sentence was confirmed for interfering with the work of admissions officers by issuing false confirmation of internship activities.
