Jin Jong-oh, a member of the People's Power, is expected to hold an emergency press conference to express his intention to approve the impeachment vote.

As the number of lawmakers in the ruling party increases to seven, only one vote will be left from the eight votes required for impeachment.

Hello, my fellow citizens, I'm Jin Jong-oh, a member of the Supreme Council of the People's Power Youth.

Today, I stand here with a heavy, disastrous, but very determined heart.

On February 5th, I entered the power of the people and started politics. It was a decision based on anguish that I joined a conservative party called the Power of the People, which received the love and support of the whole people while serving as a shooting national team for more than 20 years.

The reason I chose the power of the people is that above all, I saw that the values of the people's power were common sense, reasonable, fair and just. This is because it was judged that the vision of the people's power fits the eyes of the majority of the people and will benefit the country and the people more as a result.  

I think the politics that the absolute majority of the people want, the belief that politics can live well for each and every one of the people, and the philosophy that politics should not reign over the people are universal values that should not be compromised at any moment. 

For me, it was a huge shock to see the president's sudden declaration of martial law and armed soldiers storming the National Assembly, the hall of the people's will on the 3rd. I couldn't believe it happened in the world's 10th-largest civilized country in the 21st century.

A week later, I've been constantly asking myself. As a representative of the people, as a politician, I couldn't help but spend the night agonizing over what I should do for the country and the people and what decisions I should make.

As a result, I have once again confirmed that the most basic proposition of politics is the task of comforting the people, and that keeping the country safe is the most essential responsibility of politicians.

Going one step further, I clearly realized that this martial law incident clearly undermined the value and philosophy of the power of me and the people I belong to.

Members of the People's Power Party, I would like to vote in favour of the impeachment vote, which will take place in the National Assembly this Saturday. And I would like to emphasize that this decision is not just a political calculation, but a decision to protect the constitutional spirit and democracy of the Republic of Korea. 

I will do my best to ensure that the power of the people can overcome this situation well and restore the trust of the people again. And I firmly promise that I will not lose my determination to make the lives of the people better through politics and pass on a better future to future generations.
