Amid concerns about housing supply disruptions due to political instability triggered by the declaration of martial law, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport said it will complete the supply of 140,000 public housing units this year as originally targeted and supply 252,000 units next year, the largest ever.

The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport held a meeting with public construction companies such as LH and SH and public institutions under the Housing and Urban Guarantee Corporation HUG and the Korea Real Estate Agency today to check the supply status of public housing this year and plans for next year.

According to this year's supply performance inspection, construction has completed orders for a total of 52,000 units, nearly three times that of last year's performance, and the licensing process is in the process of approval, and the target amount of 140,000 units will be able to be approved.

Next year, it said it will supply the largest amount ever at 252,000 units, including 140,000 construction public housing licenses, 67,000 purchase leases, and 45,000 lease on a deposit basis.
