Apartment prices across the country fell 0.03% in the second week of December from the previous week, marking the fourth consecutive week of decline, according to the Korea Real Estate Agency today.
Apartment prices in Seoul continued to rise for the 38th consecutive week, but the gain fell to 0.02% this week from 0.04% last week.
Sales of apartments in the Seoul metropolitan area stopped rising for the 29th consecutive week and remained flat for the first time in 30 weeks, while the province fell further to -0.05% from -0.04%.
Jeonse prices in apartments across the country remained on the rise, but the rate of increase was minimal at 0.01%.
Rental prices for apartments in Seoul also continued to rise for 82 consecutive weeks, but the rate of increase was only 0.01 percent, down from last week, in the Seoul metropolitan area, up 0.02 percent and in the provinces, back flat for the first time in a week.
