The area of Seoul Station will be transformed into a transportation, knowledge and cultural exchange hub with large-scale complex transfer centers, exhibition facilities, parks and cultural heritage in more than 20 years.

Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon held a groundbreaking ceremony at the site of the development project in the northern Seoul Station area and announced a space renovation plan, saying he would enhance the status of Seoul Station as a national central station and international gateway and recreate the space.

The project aims to create an international cultural complex with exhibition facilities and international conference halls that can accommodate more than 2,000 people for the first time in the Gangbuk region to create "Kex of Gangbuk."

In addition, it plans to create a transit center that can reduce the transit distance of transportation such as railroads, buses, and taxis, and create a linear park to connect organically with business spaces, hotels, and commercial facilities.
