Badminton world No. 1 Ahn Se-young lost to world No. 1 Yamaguchi of Japan in the World Tour Finals.

An lost to Yamaguchi 1-2 in the second round of the women's singles group stage of the World Tour Final in Hangzhou, China.

In the quarterfinals of the last Paris Olympics, Ahn Se-young came from behind to win 2-1 against Yamaguchi.

The World Tour Final is a king and king competition with only eight participants, including the Olympic champion and the top-ranked player in the international competition held in one season.

Ahn Se-young, the gold medalist at the Paris Olympics, is Sufani of Thailand. He overpowered Catetton 2-0 but lost on the day, recording a 1-1 record.
