3,600 teachers declared "I will not be ashamed of students"

In connection with the emergency martial law crisis, teachers from all over the country declared the situation one after another and demanded the resignation of President Yoon Suk Yeol.

{Teachers Trying to Protect Democracy} held a press conference in front of the National Assembly in Yeouido, Seoul, yesterday (12th) and issued a declaration of the current situation.

More than 3,600 teachers participated in the declaration, who said, "The teacher was forced to remain silent on the grounds of political neutrality, and gathered voluntarily for the possibility of punishment."

He said, "I will personally practice democratic values and become a teacher who is not ashamed of students."

The Korean Language Teachers' Association, a group of Korean language teachers, also criticized in a declaration today, saying, "I saw the tyranny of a person who punishes the people for reasons that are different from his or her thoughts."
