A woman in her 30s who went missing in Los Angeles (LA) has been found safely in a month.

According to the Associated Press and other foreign media on the 12th (local time), Hannah Kobayashi (30), a Japanese-American from Hawaii, arrived at LA International Airport on the 8th of last month to take a transfer flight to New York, but missed the flight.

Kobayashi told his family at the time that he would sleep at the airport and tour LA. Since then, contact has been lost after a text message saying, "Someone is trying to steal my money and personal information."

The family went to L.A. to find Kobayashi and reported him missing. Local media in the United States reported this extensively, and police also requested a report on Kobayashi's whereabouts.

Ryan Kobayashi, 58, a father who was looking for his daughter in LA, has been interviewing the media on behalf of his family and asking the public for help. However, on the 24th of last month, he was found dead on his own near LA International Airport.

During the later investigation, police secured a video showing their daughter Kobayashi entering Mexico through the San Ysidro border port located on the border between San Ysidro, California, and Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico, on the 12th of last month.

"So far, no evidence has been found in the investigation that Kobayashi is trafficked or a victim of a crime," the police said.

"As a result of reviewing Kobayashi's social media (SNS) account, we found that there was a consistent desire to disconnect through mobile phones," he said. "We are trying to find her with the help of local agencies and police, including the embassy, but it is not possible. I hope she will contact me voluntarily," he added.
