The Supreme Court said that if it tried to arrest an incumbent judge who acquitted Lee Jae-myung, the leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, it would be a direct and serious violation of the jurisdiction, and that serious concerns could not be avoided.
He then stressed that this should never happen in a rule of law and that rapid fact-finding and strict legal responsibility should follow.
In addition, the Seoul Central District Court, where the judge belongs, also criticized the act as a serious violation of the independence of the trial on the grounds that if the relevant contents are true, they cannot accept the trial results of a specific case.
Furthermore, he emphasized that the order alone can only be seen as a serious violation of the principle of separation of powers in the constitution.
