The court did not accept Lee Ki-heung, chairman of the Korea Sports Council,'s request for suspension of execution filed against the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism's notice of suspension of his duties.

The Seoul Administrative Court yesterday (12th) rejected Chairman Lee's request for suspension of execution of a lawsuit against the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

Earlier last month, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism notified Chairman Lee of the suspension of his duties based on the results of an investigation by the government's joint public service inspection team in the Office for Government Policy Coordination.

Separately, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism also requested an investigation into the executives of the sports association, including Chairman Lee, regarding allegations that he unfairly hired his daughter's college friend as an employee of Jincheon Training Center.
