Lee Jae-myung, chairman of the Democratic Party of Korea, repeatedly urged the ruling party lawmakers to participate, saying that tomorrow, when the second round of impeachment of President Yoon is scheduled to be voted, will be recorded as a new national victory day.

In a statement, Lee said, "The people's order is that President Yoon should step down immediately, and the Democratic Party will vote tomorrow in accordance with the strict order."

President Yoon then said in his statement yesterday that he "self-certified" that he should not perform his duties for a single time, stressing that impeachment is the quickest and surest way to end the chaos.

In particular, he asked the ruling party lawmakers to participate in the vote in favor of impeachment, saying that it is not President Yoon or the people's power that lawmakers should protect.

At the same time, he pointed out that history will remember and record the choices of the ruling party lawmakers.
