Pop star Taylor Swift swept 10 trophies at the "2024 Billboard Music Awards."
The 2024 Billboard Music Awards (2024 BBMAs), one of the top three popular music award ceremonies in the United States, was held in Los Angeles on the 12th (local time).
Taylor Swift was selected as the winner of Top Artist, Top Female Artist, Top Billboard 200 Artist, Top Billboard 200 Album, Top Hot 100 Artist, Top Hot 100 Songwriter, Top Streaming Song Artist, Top Radio Song Artist, Top Billboard Global 200 Artist, Top Billboard Global Artist (excluding the United States).
"Cruel Summer (Cruel SummeR), which recently backtracked since its release in 2019, has contributed greatly to Taylor Swift's win. In addition, "Fortnight," which was sung with Post Malone, the 11th full-length album "The Tortured Poets Department," released in April, and "Fortnight," included in the album, were also popular this year.
As the Billboard Music Awards established a new K-pop category last year, several K-pop artists won trophies in related categories this year.
Among them, Jungkook won the top K-pop album and the top global K-pop song category, winning two awards.
Stray Kids and Seventeen, who also performed this year, became winners in the Top Global K-Pop Artist category and Top K-Pop Touring Artist, respectively.
However, in addition to the K-pop category, Jungkook's win in the "Top Song Sales Artist" category and Stray Kids' win in the "Top Duo/Group" category failed.
