Gyeongsangbuk-do and Gumi City signed an investment agreement worth 2 trillion won with companies such as Gumi Hi-Tech Energy and Koramco Asset Management to build AI data centers and hydrogen fuel cell power plants.

According to the agreement, Gumi Hi-Tech Energy and others plan to create a facility that utilizes electricity produced by hydrogen fuel cell power generation for large-scale data center operation by 2028.

Gumi City said that it will be an opportunity for data centers with soaring demand to gather in Gumi, and that it will spare administrative support for successful implementation and business settlement.
