Prime Minister Han said in a question on urgent issues at the National Assembly today (13th), "I spoke to President Yoon once or twice, but it is not appropriate to disclose the timing and details of the call."
However, he added that he was not aware of President Yoon's announcement yesterday (12th) that he would fight to the end, whether impeached or investigated.
Prime Minister Han also explained at a Cabinet meeting held just before the declaration of the emergency martial law that the proposal was made directly to President Yoon without going through him.
According to the martial law law, it is stipulated that the Minister of Defense or the Minister of Public Administration and Security can propose declaring martial law to the President through the Prime Minister in the event of a reason for martial law.
