Police Commissioner Jo Ji-ho and Seoul Metropolitan Police Commissioner Kim Bong-sik, who are suspected of sympathizing with the emergency martial law situation, have been arrested.

The Seoul Central District Court has issued arrest warrants for Cho and Kim, who are accused of engaging in important missions of rebellion.

On the day of martial law's declaration on the 3rd, they are suspected of engaging in civil war by mobilizing police personnel to control lawmakers' access to the National Assembly.

Earlier, the police explained that there is a high possibility of destroying evidence because they knew about the martial law plan in advance, such as meeting President Yoon Suk Yeol and former Defense Minister Kim Yong-hyun before martial law was issued.

Commissioner Cho, who attended the court to be reviewed for the warrant, did not answer any questions from reporters, and Commissioner Kim gave up attending the actual examination of the warrant.
