The Washington Candlelight Action, a local Korean community group, held a rally in Lafayette Park in front of the White House on the evening of the 13th local time.
Participants shouted slogans such as "I'm embarrassed of Korean Americans, impeach Yoon Suk Yeol," and urged the National Assembly to pass the impeachment bill of President Yoon.
Organizers said, "Rallies will be held in 13 U.S. cities, including New York, Philadelphia and Boston, as well as Washington, DC, from the 12th to the 15th."
He then explained, "We are protesting with a sense of solidarity with many citizens gathering around the Korean National Assembly."
