Rep. Choo Mi-ae, who headed the investigation, raised the suspicion at the meeting, saying that according to a reliable tip, Yeo In-hyeong, the then counterintelligence commander told Jung Sung-woo, the first director of counterintelligence, that "it will come from the prosecution and the National Intelligence Service immediately after the declaration of the martial law."
He then said that it seems to have followed the announcement of the new military's illegal emergency martial law during the October 26 incident in 1979, and demanded that the prosecution reveal how many people were dispatched from which organization.
Representative Park Sun-won also pointed out that former intelligence commander Roh Sang-won played a key role by talking to former Defense Minister Kim Yong-hyun on the phone every day regarding martial law, and that the emergency arrest of former commander Roh is urgent.
