Governor of Jeollanam-do Kim Young-rok said, "The victory of the people...We need to return to a proud Republic of Korea!"

South Jeolla Province Governor Kim Young-rok issued a statement after the National Assembly passed the impeachment bill of President Yoon Suk Yeol and stressed that he stopped anti-state, anti-constitution, and anti-democratic rioting, saying it was a victory for the people who constantly shouted impeachment even in the biting cold.

He added that the remaining procedures, such as the Constitutional Court's judgment, will be handled quickly in accordance with strict demands of the times and strict orders from the people, adding that everyone should join forces and return to the proud Republic of Korea before December 3 as soon as possible.
