Immediately after the impeachment was passed, National Assembly Speaker Woo Won-sik delivered a copy of the impeachment resolution to the president's office through National Assembly Secretary-General Kim Min-ki, and the president's office received it at 7:24 p.m.
The original copy of the impeachment resolution was submitted to the Constitutional Court through Chung Cheong-rae, chairman of the National Assembly's Legislative and Judiciary Committee.
The Constitutional Court must decide whether to dismiss the president within 180 days from the date of receipt of the impeachment resolution.
