Europe "Impeachment May Be Resolved by Constitution..."Continuing cooperation with Korea"

In response to the passage of the Yoon Suk Yeol presidential impeachment bill to the National Assembly, the European Union (EU) has emphasized resolving the crisis under the constitution.

Anita Heifer, the EU's chief foreign affairs and security spokesman, issued a statement noting the decision to impeach President Yoon and said the political crisis in South Korea should be resolved in a swift and orderly manner under the Constitution.

He also added that South Korea is an important strategic partner of the EU.

The British Foreign Ministry also issued a statement, saying it is closely watching the development of Korea's situation, including the passage of the impeachment bill, and expected to cooperate with Acting President Han Deok-soo.
