Acting U.S. Forces Korea Commander's Call to Establish Solid Combined Defense Posture

Acting President Han Deok-soo spoke with U.S. Forces Korea Commander Paul Ruckamara in the Oval Office of the Government Complex Seoul this afternoon.

In the call, Han expressed concern that North Korea could attempt various types of military provocations, including ballistic missiles and cyberattacks, in the current emergency situation.

He then emphasized the importance of strengthening communication between South Korea and the U.S. so that the South Korea-U.S. alliance continues to be unwavering, saying it is more important than ever.

Recamera reaffirmed his strong commitment to joint defense and said he will continue to pursue planned joint exercises and exercises as the commander of the ROK-U.S. joint forces.
