After the martial law was issued, President Yoon Suk Yeol contacted Army Special Warfare Commander Kwak Jong-geun and Capital Defense Commander Lee Jin-woo to take care of the situation.

attended the National Assembly and delivered the president's remarks as they were,

Commander Lee is also known to have stated in a prosecution investigation, "President Yoon became angry when he was approaching the decision to lift the National Assembly's martial law, saying, 'Why can't you pull it out?'"

Testimony against President Yoon's claim that he did not block the National Assembly came out one after another from the military command.

Additionally, Kwak and Lee attended the Hannam-dong mission meeting earlier this year when former Defense Minister Kim Yong-hyun was the presidential security minister.

The Democratic Party of Korea is raising suspicions that President Yoon was preparing for martial law based on this meeting.
