An 8-year-old child was killed and one person was injured when a car driving on the Daejeon-Tongyeong Expressway hit a truck on the shoulder.

In Gyeongju, a traditional liquor manufacturing plant was set on fire and one factory was burned down.

A car hit a truck on the side of the road on the Daejeon-Tongyeong Expressway in Janggye-myeon, Jangsu-gun, Jeollabuk-do, around 12:30 p.m.

An 8-year-old child in the back of a car was killed and another was seriously injured in the accident.

Police officials said they have secured a statement from the truck driver that he was stopped because he ran out of fuel and are investigating whether the driver of the car is drowsy.

Coast Guard rescuers approach a man who fell into the sea.

We rescued it safely on the ship, and fortunately, there were no health problems other than hypothermia.

The man, who is the head of the ship's engine, is said to have fallen into the sea while towing a cement carrier.

The place where flames and smoke soar is a traditional liquor manufacturing plant.

Fortunately, no one was injured, but a strong fire engulfed one 650m² factory and spread to other buildings before being extinguished in 2 hours and 20 minutes.

Police and fire departments are investigating the circumstances and the extent of the damage.
