A media representative who unauthorizedly corrected negative comments about himself posted by an employee on the company's union bulletin board has been fined.

On the 20th of last month, the Supreme Court upheld the original ruling that sentenced a former media representative A, who was accused of violating the Information and Communication Network Act, to a fine of 5 million won.

Mr. A is accused of seeing a reporter's comment asking for his resignation on the media union bulletin board two years ago, and adding as if he were the reporter, "I wrote a comment because I didn't want to be recognized."

Mr. A claimed that he did not approach the bulletin board by fraudulent means and that he was not guilty by adding phrases while leaving the existing comments intact.

However, the first and second trial courts found Mr. A guilty of correction of other people's comments without permission using technical errors on the bulletin board, saying that he broke into the information and communication network and damaged the information.

Mr. A objected, but the Supreme Court dismissed the appeal and confirmed the sentence, judging that there was no fault in the judgment of the court below.
