Japanese media analyzed that the cooperation system established by the leaders of South Korea, the U.S. and Japan last year is on the verge of collapse as the impeachment bill of President Yoon Suk Yeol was passed by the National Assembly.

The Asahi Shimbun predicted that if President Yoon loses his political base, the cooperation between South Korea, the U.S. and Japan will be greatly shaken by the re-emergence of U.S. President-elect Donald Trump, who belittles the alliance, causing three crises.

Asahi said that the improvement of Korea-Japan relations is largely due to President Yoon's unilateral concessions, and predicted that Korea-Japan relations could cool down again if the opposition party, which has criticized his policy toward Japan, takes power.

The second crisis was that after Trump took office next month, South Korea and Japan were unable to respond together to unreasonable demands from the United States.

Finally, he mentioned that if Korea-U.S.-Japan cooperation breaks down in the air, it could benefit North Korea, China, and Russia, which have been concerned about it.
