Ryu Ji-hyuk, who moved from KIA to Samsung in the middle of last season, played in 100 games this season with a batting average of 0.258 and 36 RBIs, and played in all infield positions by filling defensive gaps.

Samsung evaluated, "Ryu Ji-hyuk is a player who can see all positions in the infield and has the ability to carry out operations essential for various team tactics," and Ryu Ji-hyuk also said, "I didn't think about going to another team," adding, "I'm happy to continue playing baseball at Samsung."
