The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy said the nation's automobile exports amounted to $5.6 billion last month, down 14 percent from a year ago.
Exports on a volume basis fell 7% to 228,000 units.
By company, Hyundai's exports fell 5.8 percent and Kia's exports fell 24.5 percent.
This is attributed to Hyundai Motor's full-fledged operation of its electric vehicle plant in Georgia, USA, and delayed shipment of export vehicles due to bad weather.
However, cumulative exports in the first 11 months of this year amounted to $64.8 billion, 0.4% more than last year, when the record was achieved.
