National Assembly Speaker Woo Won-sik presented 5 million won worth of coffee for the parliamentary staff who suffered from the emergency martial law crisis.

On the 16th, Chairman Woo said on his Facebook page, "The family members of the National Assembly worked really hard during the emergency martial law and impeachment process (on the 3rd). The public official said, "Reporters suffered a lot as public officials did, as reporters did."

"Some National Assembly officials were injured in the process of preventing martial law forces, and others were unable to go home for a few days," he said. "They voluntarily gave ideas and took the initiative in prison, keeping their jobs and protecting democracy."

"With the heart of the auditor and the leader, the chairman made a pre-payment of 1 million won to five coffee shops in the National Assembly," he said, adding, "Everyone is excited."

On the same day, a photo of a notice titled "The Speaker of the National Assembly will shoot!" was shared on social media X (formerly Twitter). The notice said, "The Speaker of the National Assembly made a 1 million won pre-payment to express his gratitude to the families of the National Assembly who suffered in an emergency situation."

An X user who posted the photo added, "The cafe in the parliament building closed in 10 minutes, but we can eat again with the chairman's additional payment."
