Kwon Sung-dong, acting chairman of the People's Power Party, expressed his negative stance on Democratic Party Chairman Lee Jae-myung's call to quickly discuss the supplementary budget bill, saying the government's budget bill is not a cornerstone in Lee's pocket.

Kwon met with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Strategy and Finance Choi Sang-mok and said it was extremely irresponsible for the Democratic Party to propose an extra budget discussion after cutting all the key points of the government's budget, urging the government not to be swayed by such instigation.

The government then said, "I don't think it's too late to discuss the extra budget when there's a need to adjust the budget, whether it's March or June next year."

Deputy Prime Minister Choi said he will try to ensure that the budget will be executed smoothly from January 1 next year, and that he will also thoroughly manage foreign credentials so that there are no problems.
