The Democratic Party of Korea's "Yoon Seok-yeol Na-ran fact-finding team" claimed, "As (the staff position on the bus) is 90% consistent with the martial law command schedule under the 2017 DSC martial law document, it can be seen that (they) are the staff of the martial law command."
Even though martial law was lifted after the National Assembly voted to lift martial law in the early morning of the 4th, the martial law command was established based on the DSC martial law document written in 2017 to plot the second martial law.
According to the data submitted by the Army Headquarters to lawmaker Bu Seung-chan, a member of the fact-finding team, 14 of the 34 people who boarded the bus on the 4th were general-level and 20 were considered to be permanent-level.
The list of passengers included the Army Planning and Management Chief, who serves as the Planning and Coordination Chief of the Martial Law Command, the Army Personnel Chief, who serves as the Administration Chief, and the Army Military Chief, who serves as the Relief Chief.
Earlier on the 10th, Rep. Bu Seung-chan of the Democratic Party of Korea raised suspicions in the National Defense Commission's pending questioning, "The bus carrying the staff of the martial law command left from the land after the president visited the command and control office of the Joint Chiefs of Staff at 1:30 a.m. on the 4th, shortly after the National Assembly lifted martial law."
"We need to thoroughly investigate whether the bus passengers, the core staff of the martial law command, knew about the emergency martial law in advance and how they got on the bus," he stressed.
