Acting President Han Deok-soo said at a mid-sized company day event today (16th) that only 1.3% of mid-sized companies account for 14% of employment and sales, and that it is a "growth ladder" with a large job creation role.
At the meeting, acting Han Deok-soo explained that he submitted a government proposal to the National Assembly, including an exemption from inheritance tax, for the growth of mid-sized companies, but negotiations broke down.
At the same time, he mentioned that he thinks a consultative body will be launched that includes both ruling and opposition politicians and the National Assembly Speaker to stabilize state affairs.
This is interpreted as a statement conscious of the "Council between ruling and opposition parties," which was recently mentioned by Lee Jae-myung, chairman of the Democratic Party of Korea.
Han Deok-soo then mentioned the Biden U.S. presidential call on the first day of his work and said there was an agreement to communicate with the U.S. government and overcome difficulties in the future.
