The impeachment motion of Yoon Suk Yeol's suspected insurrection crossed the National Assembly threshold over the weekend, but citizens' evening rallies continue.

It is time for the Constitutional Court to proceed with the impeachment trial, and they are holding rallies around the Constitutional Court and raising their voices to dismiss President Yoon.

There is a reporter on the scene.

Reporter Yoon Woong Sung! Is the rally still in progress?

Yes, "Yoon Seok-yeol Immediate Retreat and Social Great Reform Emergency Action," which consists of 1,500 organizations, including the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions and civic groups, held a rally in front of Gyeongbokgung Palace, about 500 meters away from the Constitutional Court, from 6 p.m.

Participants of the rally have been marching toward Anguk Station, where the Constitutional Court is located, since 7:30 a.m. just a while ago.

Last weekend, the impeachment bill against President Yoon was passed by the National Assembly, and now the Constitutional Court's impeachment trial remains, so the plan is to urge President Yoon to be dismissed as soon as possible.

Even on a weekday evening, I could see citizens participating in the assembly on their way home from work.

Participants of the rally held a cheering stick, so-called 'impeachment stick', today and participated in the rally in a bright atmosphere like a concert hall.

[Kim Min-ji / Participant in the rally: This time, it has to be tried by the Constitutional Court, but it came out on Monday because I think I need the help of citizens before then. I think it's good because it doesn't turn off for a long time and I can increase my participation.]

The civic group Candlelight Action is also holding a rally in front of Bosingak, calling for the immediate dismissal of President Yoon and the arrest of First Lady Kim Gun-hee.

They said they would continue their evening rallies throughout this week, and voices calling for President Yoon's dismissal are expected to continue until the Constitutional Court decides.
