After the December 3 emergency martial law incident, the government's attitude toward spraying leaflets to North Korea by private organizations has changed.

Some predict that the suspension of President Yoon Suk Yeol's duties may change the diplomatic and security stance.

Minister Kim Young-ho's National Assembly report revealed that the Ministry of Unification requested the North Korean leaflet spraying group to refrain from activities on the 12th.

Minister Kim explained that the government is currently managing the North Korean leaflet issue by prioritizing the lives and safety of the people.

It is a significant change from the previous attitude of tolerating leaflets, saying that freedom of expression cannot be suppressed.

[Kim Young-ho / Unification Minister: We checked various tension factors for stable management of the situation on the Korean Peninsula and asked leaflet groups to make a careful judgment on the 12th.]

It is also read as a sign that it will not cause accidental inter-Korean tension in the impeachment of the president, but the opposition party welcomed it.

However, criticism continued over Minister Kim and other members of the State Council's failure to properly deal with the martial law crisis.

On the 5th, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs revealed that the presidential office's data claiming the legitimacy of martial law was unofficially distributed to some foreign media without Minister Cho Tae-yeol's knowledge.

[Kim Young-bae / Opposition secretary of the National Assembly's Foreign Affairs and Unification Committee, Minjoo Party: Emergency martial law is a decision made as a constitutionalist and the president of the Republic of Korea who worships the constitutional order of liberal democracy more than anyone else, right?]

Minister Cho reiterated that he consistently opposed martial law and said he would also cooperate with the opposition to restore the collapsed international community's trust.

[Minister of Foreign Affairs Cho Tae-yeol: When it is necessary to cooperate with the National Assembly and the opposition parties, we do not hesitate to ask for cooperation....]

The People's Power feared that President Yoon could be impeached and the summit diplomacy could shrink ahead of the launch of the second Trump administration.

[Kim Gun / ruling party secretary of the National Assembly's Foreign Affairs and Unification Committee, People's Power: The diplomacy of the acting president or the foreign minister should be more active....]

Kim Seok-ki, chairman of the ruling party's Foreign Affairs and Communications Committee, clashed with the opposition party while demanding that the Democratic Party of Korea cancel its remarks on President Yoon as a mobster, and the meeting was eventually disrupted.
