The Chinese government's first official position on the impeachment motion of President Yoon Suk Yeol came out.

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Lin Zhen said at a regular briefing, "We have noted recent changes in South Korea's political situation," but added, "We will not comment on South Korea's internal affairs."

However, he reaffirmed the principle that "Korea is an important neighbor and friendly cooperative partner of China, and it is in the joint interest of the two countries to drive the healthy and stable development of China-China relations."
