According to the Korea Film Council, the number of Korean moviegoers last month was 2.63 million, down 39% from the same month last year, and sales also fell 40% to 24.6 billion won.
On the other hand, the number of foreign moviegoers and sales increased by 31% and 30%, respectively, compared to the same month last year.
The Korean Film Commission explained that the number of Korean films released in November itself decreased as Korean films flocked to December due to a series of expected Hollywood films such as "Moana 2" and "Wicked."
