The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport announced the administration of amendments to the standard specifications of concrete and design standards to strengthen the safety of construction structures.

First of all, considering that concrete strength is not sufficiently expressed in cold weather with an average daily temperature of 4℃ or less, an additional 6 megapascals of strength was secured.

In addition, concrete pouring will be prohibited in a rainy environment in principle, and if it is unavoidable, a "guideline for concrete pouring in case of rainfall" will be prepared to guide specific measures.

At the same time, all construction sites will mandate the production and testing of "site curing samples" that have been selectively conducted according to the needs of the responsible technician.
