Northeast Gyeonggi and Gangwon Cold Wave Special Report... '-12℃ Cold Wave' lasts for more than two days

Cold wave warnings have been issued in northeastern Gyeonggi Province and Gangwon Province.

Six northeastern regions of Gyeonggi-do, including Dongducheon, Paju, Yeoncheon, and Gapyeong, mountainous areas in central and northern Gangwon-do, Pyeongchang, Cheolwon, Hwacheon, Hongcheon, and Yanggu in Gangwon-do, will take effect at 9 p.m. today (17th).

The Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA) said a strong chill below minus 30 degrees Celsius is expected to fall to below minus 12 degrees Celsius in the morning, especially in the special report area, and last for more than two days.

There is no cold wave warning in Seoul, but tomorrow morning's temperature will drop to minus 6 degrees Celsius, the lowest this winter, and the wind chill will remain at minus 10 degrees Celsius.
