The meeting will be attended by China, Laos, Thailand, Bangladesh and India, which borders Myanmar in an informal consultation on border security and transnational crimes, as well as foreign ministers appointed by Myanmar's military government.
The meeting on the 20th will be attended by foreign minister-level ministers of ASEAN member states interested in Myanmar issues to discuss the five-point agreement for peace in Myanmar.
It is not known if a representative from Myanmar will attend the meeting.
When Myanmar's military staged a coup in 2021, ASEAN agreed to five items, including a halt to violence and the start of dialogue between all parties, but ASEAN has excluded Myanmar from various meetings because the military government has not implemented them.
Myanmar's rebels against the military government have recently expanded their power by securing large parts of western Rakhine state and the northern border.
Since the coup and the outbreak of civil war, Myanmar has seen 3.3 million refugees, estimated by the United Nations.
