Army Chief of Staff Park An-soo, who served as the martial law commander during the December 3 martial law, was arrested.

It is the first time in 45 years that the Army Chief of Staff has been arrested while in office since the December 12 incident of the new military, Chun Doo-hwan.

As a result, all key general-level officials of martial law, including the Capital Defense Command, were arrested except for Moon Sang-ho, the intelligence commander, who is under investigation.
