Prosecutors investigating the emergency martial law case have been found to have secured statements from Yeo In-hyeong, commander of counterintelligence, suggesting that martial law may have been declared last month.

Some argued that there had already been discussions on martial law for months.

The head of the military, especially Yeo In-hyeong, the counterintelligence commander, who is considered a key figure in the emergency martial law crisis, has stated that he was not aware of the declaration of martial law beforehand.

In a statement released on the 9th, he stressed that if martial law had been prepared in advance, all would have been exposed.

However, it was found that he made a different statement during the prosecution's investigation.

Commander Yeo said in early November that it would be better for President Yoon to declare emergency martial law,
It is known that he stated that he asked former Defense Minister Kim Yong-hyun for his opinion on not attending the scheduled overseas schedule for
and going to martial law.

In fact, last month, the APEC summit and the G20 summit were held in Peru and Brazil, respectively, and President Yoon attended through overseas trips.

Commander Yeo was also quoted as saying that there was a mention of martial law at the restaurant and the safe house in May and June.

Special Warfare Commander Kwak Jong-geun, who sent troops to the National Assembly at the time of martial law, also reported similar information through an opposition lawmaker just before his arrest.

[Park Beom-gye / Minjoo Party of Korea: June, October, November, President Yoon Suk Yeol, former Defense Minister Kim Yong-hyun, Yeo In-hyeong, commander of the Defense Command, Lee Jin-woo, commander of the Defense Command, and Kwak Jong-geun, commander of the Special Warfare Command, were present three times and were told that there were mock seats.]

Amid growing suspicions that martial law was carefully prepared, Commander Yeo reiterated that he had been strongly dissuading martial law.
