Asked by the opposition party whether he agreed with the Democratic Party's proposed parliamentary security council, Deputy Prime Minister Choi replied that he said he would go if the ruling and opposition parties made a market regardless of the name.
Deputy Prime Minister Choi also said, "No matter what happens, it is important to keep strong external credibility so that our economy can be managed stably and to come up with policies necessary for people's livelihoods," adding, "The government will actively explain and seek cooperation if the ruling and opposition parties make room for the law because there are things to change in the process."
Earlier, Deputy Prime Minister Choi expressed his position that the National Assembly and the government will continue to work together to promote major economic policies in the future through the emergency economic consultative body between the ruling, opposition, and government.
