Reuters said Ukraine's special envoy-designate Keith Kellogg will visit European countries such as the Ukrainian capital Kyiv, Italy's Rome and Paris, France, in early January before Trump's inauguration, but not Russia.
It also said Kellogg's visit would focus on factual investigations surrounding the war, not real negotiations.
In his first press conference since the presidential election on the 16th, Trump said he would talk to Russian President Putin and Ukrainian President Zelenskyy to end the war in Ukraine.Kellogg, a former general in the
military and Trump's security strategist, said in May that he was negative about the continued U.S. arms provision to Ukraine, emphasizing the need for an early end to the war.
