This winter's coldest "-10℃ cold wave"...Special Report on the Seohaean, Ulleungdo, and Dokdo

With a cold wave warning issued in Gyeonggi Province and Gangwon Province, this morning's temperature dropped significantly to around minus 10 degrees Celsius, showing the coldest weather this winter.

Temperatures by region were -15.8 degrees in coastal-myeon, Yang-gu, Gangwon-do, -15.4 degrees in Seoraksan, -14.9 degrees in Daegwallyeong, -13.9 degrees in Cheorwon, -12.2 degrees in Paju, -6.1 degrees in Seoul, -4.6 degrees in Jeonju, and -7.4 degrees in Bonghwa, the lowest this winter.

The Korea Meteorological Administration said cold air below minus 30 degrees Celsius fell sharply overnight from the northwest, adding that the cold will continue to feel below zero, mainly in the central interior, during the day.

Meanwhile, a heavy snow warning has been issued on Dokdo Island, Ulleungdo, where more than 10cm of snow fell in the cold, and a heavy snow warning is in effect on the west coast of Honam, including the mountains of Jeju Island and Gochang and Buan.
